Hello everyone! Been awhile, but who cares coz i'm gonna pen my thoughts down.

If u have been following my life in some way or another, yes, i am still working as a pathetic accounts assistant. White shirt isnt a choice, it is the only uniform i can wear to work. But whatever, coz today the topic i am gonna talk abt is something that strike a note with everyone i hope.


Before i start off, why do i always write something? Perhaps u will think i like to stir, i dont deny that as the purpose of alot of my notes are for people to think, to reflect upon their life, stirring that tiny bit of emotion in ur brain and it might or might not spark a desired reaction. Its just like an equation, and the relation between one thing and another.

Heck, i'm gonna go into my first point for 2012, which is the agenda of today's note. And it is... the agenda itself

Ok agenda, agenda, agenda. We can call it the goal, the purpose, the motive, expectation and from dictionary.com:
Agenda is - a list, plan, outline, or the like, of things to be done, matters to be acted or voted upon, etc. Oh god my definition is off but let's just get over it lol.

So what's with the agenda?
Actually, i guess i have already talked abt this some time back but i would just like to reinforce this matter. And there it goes again. Imagine urself in a office, dead tired, half awake and suddenly ur boss calls for a meeting, u would be like what?! Meeting again? And u grab a strategic seat that is well shielded from ur boss. Later, ur boss steps (skip the preparations) and he starts off with the agenda of the meeting. Uh huh, by the time i write this, i hope none of u are half awake or dead tired.

Yes, even if its a weekly meeting, there would also be an agenda. Why not we put it into another scenario. Let's say it is a class outing, of course in this case, the agenda of the meet up would be to socialise with ur frens and to catch up etc. Its so simple! Isnt it

Wait a minute, how abt u hanging ard a pub with a bunch of friends and u see this sexy lady at the bar table, and oh my, look at her dangerous curves, her silky hair, long legs, the way she plays with her hair, her fingers twirling round and round and they cant seem to tangle! and the smokey, mysterious glance she throws at u (OMG!) Then u excuse urself from ur fren, tries some stupid pick up lines and ta da, a question from me. "is there an agenda to ur action?"

Ok for my frens who are married, i hope u dont have that urge to go up to talk to that lady and back to the point, yes is there an agenda? I certainly believe there is an agenda, probably something innocent like expanding ur social circle or something that is urm, i would say answering to ur biological's call hur hur :)

So does doing everything have a hidden agenda lurking in the minds? So take this time to think abt it.












Yes time's up. Ok for me, if i am the guy and i see this lady at the bar table and smiling at me, i think my horns will grow and yeah, that's meant (men) for u ahahahah. But on a serious note, and probably the final stride for this note, think abt it, think abt the few indviduals in ur life that have always been there for no matter what, they are always there for u, they scold u for ur own good, they worry abt u, they care for u, they make u angry sometimes but they love u and will always do. But do they have any hidden agendas for doing that?

So the agenda for this note is to, tell u guys that 50/50 is a nice movie, please give it a watch, definitely worth ur 2 hrs or so... hahaha no but seriously is to thank the people that have always been there for me, those who KP-ed me as i know u did it for the goodness of me, my gf who have been my punching bag :p i bet she will agree with me and lastly and finally and most imptly my family, my dad, my mon and sis, i dunno what to say but yes, i love u guys! I cant change the way u are but i just love it the way u are lol!

i just would like to call today an appreciation day

and happy CNY to all, more good years ahead! And higher tax and property prices ahead!

Sucking the youth out of urself

Ok, i suddenly thought of this, and i'm only giving myself 5mins to write abt this.

And i'm writing as a capacity as myself, my arrogant alter ego joe is in hiding.

Alright let's go!

Depend. Depend itself has a lot of meaning, depending on something, depends, dependant. Actually all of it mean u have to rely on something, its related to something.

And putting this into the current context. Whether if i pass my law paper depend on the effort i have put in. The effort i put in depend on my interest in law.

Ok so how abt ur lunch tmr? What u will be having depends on what's available, what's ur flavour.

And whether ur portfolio will go up and down is dependant on the outlook of the economy tmr?

And so, i would like to draw a conclusion that for most things that happened, that is happening of will happen, they are dependant on something.

And a question i would like to raise. Would u rely everything that will happen to something? Like maybe i want a cup of coffee on the table and i rely on someone to make it for me?

Or will u make it urself? Thus removing the depending factor from the formula?

Let me quote one more example, and the last one. If u are a lady, and u depend on ur husband to provide for u, u become a yellow face woman and u lose ur value in the society. What if one day ur husband dies? Run away with another woman? Or u urself cant take his nonsense but cant get out of the fix coz u are dependant on him?

So ladies, pls do not depend on men to feed u, for we have nothing to lose except for time and money. For u, u are losing something much more, something called youth.

No, today i'm not going to write abt that. But having read this thread on hwz, it makes me feel i'm fortunate enough to not be in that plight.

Have u ever been in a situation that u've nv came across? Perhaps putting urself in a situation that u do not want to be?

Just turn back the time to a few yrs ago, when we were in the army, the BMT, where we would be pushing ourselves doing physical training which we wouldnt imagine doing

Ok, let's quote an example. U taking the taxi. I believe most of us, maybe not for all but i'm guilty to admit, do u really give a damn how the uncle will bring u to the destination? As long as he get u to the place, period? Or oh so this is the way hmmm and the next time u'd know how to get back

When u are looking for a job, do u look for something that u like, easy, but little chance of promotion or something that is real challenging, involves alot of routines that u dont enjoy, but giving some chance of promotion?

Here, i would liken u to the passenger in the taxi, sitting in the comfort zone, would u be actively participating in the way u get to ur destination, or sit back, relax and get to ur destination?

And yes, after beating 2 rounds of the bush, i'm coming to the point: comfort zone.

Take revision, sometimes, we revise and take a break, we go back and take a break again. And when we reach a point we will say ok, that's it for today.

Or maybe when we are jogging, we run for 15mins and u feel pain in ur legs. And u will say, ok, that's it for today.

So do u think in the future, ur boss tells u: i fucking want this and that to be done by today! Will u do and do till a point and tell urself, 'ok, that's it for today'?

Coming to this, i will make another comparison. I will say life is like the taxi journey, we can either get out of our comfort zone to reach our destination, probably ur degree if u are studying, a job if u are a graduate, a flat or baby if u are married or probably death for the rest of us.

Or u can be a couch potato, relax, take 5 and stare at ur phone reading ur frens' fb status ;)

A belated reflection

A year plus since i have ord-ed, and almost a year being an accounts assistant. Being in the junior position, i realise that things arent suppose to be as they are. Doing things perfectly is one thing, accomplishing it is another.

Taking a bite off life, seeing children in the street, listening to parents talking abt their life experience, i certainly feel that the act of love a parent have to their child, is way too much, or in the wrong way. Parents are not spending enough time with their children, and when they do, they spend it extravagantly, like spending on an iPad, iPhone to make themselves feel better of neglecting their child. It this really love?

Imagine years ago, ur dad and mom would hit u with a stick, and they would say doing this is for ur own good. However, at this date, u dont see parents doing that i suppose, even corporal punishment like standing outside the class is disallowed. So what kind of parent will u be in the future? Take some time to ponder...

But that is life, and taking another bite off ur time, touching ur heart this time, close ur eyes, think of what u are doing; studies, work, etc. and repeat this in ur mind "is this what i really want for my life?"

If ur answer is no, then what do u really want. And if u know what u want, then why not do it?

And chipping off a bit of time to a small but significant team of individuals, being a leader isnt doing things perfectly with a team of greats, but being a good leader is doing things well with the limited resources u have. So, i'd first apologise to my team, for not being an able IC, if given a chance, i would still be the way i am. Coz there's no turning back time and i cant change the way i am with a few paragraphs of words. Even though i had limited manpower then, i did short of being a good leader.

Back to parenting, dont u have to agree for our generation, our parents did great? They didnt really spoil us, at the same time they dont force us to do what we dislike.

And lastly, taking one last bit of u before u sleep: Few people are doing the things they love, but if they do, they dont do it well, they do it perfectly well. So keep dreaming, try to live ur dream, if not, keep living!!!

we live, we are living and we have lived

do u ever find urself rushing for the train in the morning? literally sprinting for the finishing line at the speed equivalent to usain? i apologise to my frens whom i see in the morning but cant talk to u for an extra second.

and are u affected by the price hike due to the inflation? look at mbs at night, and the fireworks on national day, new year. gosh its us, the taxpayers money!! but dont worry guys, u can get 2 a la carte meals from macs for the price of one today... ISNT THAT SOOOOO AWESOME duh >_>

studying so hard, slogging ur lungs out, what are u achieving? a better future? or a home to share with ur wife? or simply just sex and booze?

oh gosh its so late alr -.- and i need to rush to slp.... uh huh rushing is another thing that i wanna talk abt. being in such a frantic pace society, we dont even have time to sit by the sideline. we are in the rat race, not that we want to, but are dragged into it.. maybe one day the fore-rushers will find their 2 legs in the coffin

so guys, gd nite, i'm rushing to slp and maybe u and i will find 1 leg into our coffin when we arise, or maybe 2 during our wake

omg the moment has come.. the moment i've been waiting for, the moment of inspiration to blog... really damn long sia but this time, with the help of someone, and of course a few encounters, i came out with a few topics that's worth blogging

anyways, life is pretty much the same, boring i'd say. and i've started this accounting job.. more of data entry and the pay is pathetic but who cares? i'm broke to begin with lol.. but its really a good experience, where it's so much different from doing science, laboratory work, where the time is wasted in between... whereas the office environment, the people are so objective, i dont see the time for them to share, chit chat abt their own stuffs, and bitch abt anything.... kinda boring u see so for those doing science and having second thoughts abt it, u might wanna take this as something good for ur consideration

ok, i can get into the topic already..

imagine this fine day, u meet this person, she's (imagine a he if u're a lady) super beautiful, understanding and possessing all the attributes of a good gf.. however, she love u alot, to the extent of getting jealous over the smallest thing in the world...

and yes, i'm talking abt having too much strength is a weakness. too much of something is really just too much, imagine u are super funny, being funny too much will make people think that u are a joke or rather too nonchalant in life.. too clever and people will think that u're a geek

i mean ya there are some things that's nv too much, money might be one of them, but bear in mind, money is the root of all evil. it might not be too much for u, but how abt the next generation? what will they do to vie over ur assets?

and u always hear ur parents or close friends reminding u this and that, and they always say the same thing.... and they'll become naggy... but afterall they say it for ur own good, and they only think the best for u

and that brings me to my second point, where it's the best for u....

parents always do things that's the best for u.. and they scared this, scared that, scared their child dont get the best, give them tuition, no apple, buy iphone for them, teacher scold, complain moe... army no mommy, give u money, buy psp

ok maybe it's not the best for u when parents are becoming more and more protective... look how our way of teaching then and now, in the past, i think using the ruler to hit the back of the hands as a punishment is nothing, but i doubt u can see the same thing now (correct me if i'm wrong, coz i dont have children)

so u are saying that the little kids in sg are getting a halo on their head? and they are not mischievious? they dont make mistakes? or is it the parents are driving the education system to be like that?

army in the past, is ten times worst that mine, but mine will be the past in the future... so what holds for the future kids i wont know..

so in the future, pls let me have an angel child, a devil in angel suit will also do

anyway there's something bugging me right now.. savage garden's i knew i loved u.. it goes i knew i loved u before i met you, i think i dreamt u into life... wtf its the worst lyrics man. kudos to them for making it a big hit

ok lets get to today's lecture proper... math in love.... yes i'll say again, math in love

god what are u thinking?? what the hell what math and what love? u mean math is in love?

no no no.. i'm saying math, in love, applying math in love, the role of math in love or what not

let's take a look at math, u see, when positive (+ve) is multiplied by positive (+ve), u get a positive result :D

but when negative (-ve) is multiplied with positive (+ve) it gives u a negative result :(

and when negative (-ve) is multiplied with negative (-ve) its a positive result :)

but that not what happens in love...

ok case one is the only phenomenom that's likely to happen but not case two and three

u see, i belive that when one of the partner is negative (-ve), he/she can still be influenced by the positive (+ve) partner to become a positive

and when both are negative, how can there be a positive result?

sooooo how can u channel this negative energy into a positive? answer is....................
